Reunion Island – Tram train
Public-space
On Reunion Island, the vegetation structures the landscape and environment. There is a very close relationship between the island’s inhabitants and the natural world. This is revealed in the local culture and traditional architecture whose decorative elements are directly inspired by the vegetation. The connection is omnipresent in the Tram Train project both directly where the rails pass through lush vegetation or near wooded areas and more indirectly against the splendid background of the island’s rich landscapes.
The tram stops, designed by the agency, highlight this dialogue with the environment through their plant-inspired forms.
