Public-space
These stations are urban elements, or “micro-architectures”, that fit in with their surrounding environment. They can be adapted to provide maximum flexibility in terms of weather protection (the stations are in middle of the road) and permeability (the stations are in public spaces).
We designed the shelter as an adaptable “membrane” at the boundary between the waiting space and the rest of the city. This membrane, supported by a simple metal-post structure, is made from glass, aluminum and wood that can be configured in numerous different ways.
